Take the Czech road to Jakuszyce

Needed water: water bottle approx. 0,5 liter

The highest point: Szklarska pass, 886 m n. p. m.
Lowest point: Szklarska Poreba, 638 m n. p. m.

Szklarska Poręba is a bit like Zakopane in the Karkonosze Mountains or some seaside resort moved to the mountains. For the average, non-mountain tourist (not a runner) it's not spectacularly pretty (Zakopane is about seven times prettier), in fact, there is nothing to be impressed with in my opinion, apart from the mountains in the area, in the town itself, we can find the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary from the middle 17 century, Evangelical church from the end 19 century and the remains of the glassworks (no, guess where the name came from, guess ...). From my experience and opinion on Google, it's hard to even find a decent restaurant there. So one thing remains, is to run towards the Szklarska Pass.

You can park your car in the center, a car park can be found at the intersection of Mickiewicza and Gimnazjalna Streets, parking spaces are also on the main street. PKS buses and minibuses arrive at the place, which is called… PKS Square, I suggest traveling by train to Szklarska Poręba Górna station.

Probably after one glance at the route you will pop your head and say: “Aaaa you're stupid there, run the main road ". Contrary to appearances, this road (is called Czech. Guess why ...) it is not dramatically attended, and certainly not by trucks or coaches, because there are border crossings located lower in the area.

The first typical Sudeten attraction on the way is Raven Rocks. You can see them clearly from the road ahead of the serpentine, on the left side, beautiful, 30-meter chunks of granite. A bit behind them, we cross the bridge over Kamienna Street, and literally 150 meters away, you need to pay attention, to stay on the main road (the road leads straight to the Kamieńczyk Shelter, it is marked with a dead end sign). After another 200 meters, the first two streamers await us, for the next 250 meters another serpentine and parking lot (here on the route it hits 2,5 km - remember this place for the confluence, will mean, it's close!). Then you will have a kilometer of gentle ascent and two more serpentines. Two kilometers behind the serpentines there will be a flattening, on the right you will find a parking lot, and on the left the remains of the Babiniec lift, you mine 5,5 km of route - stays to the pass 1,5 km! After another kilometer, Attention, will happen approx. kilometer downhill. At the end of the descent, you will find yourself in a large clearing, the first buildings appear and you will cross Kamienna Street again (see what's the difference in pipe size!). Now just a quick tip to the Olympic Training and Preparation Center in Biathlon (here is a restaurant, w 2014 year, it was also the office of the Summer Piast Run), from here he stays to the pass 300 meters.

The route downhill is the reverse of the description above, so much, that it runs a bit faster. Because it's down. As I wrote, I wrote, when you no longer have strength on the downhill, wait for the parking lot and the remains of the lift, from this place you stay 10-12 minutes back to town.
