Blackwood 102 on 5 values with the lady of trump. Means, that we have an accurate tool, which allows us to know exactly which hand, with what values our partner has
On 5 values because the King in the agreed color (that is, King of Atu) is counted as an as (from here to 5 values, not 4), and the next bidding color after the first Blackwood (e.g.. 4NT- 5♣ answer and if we do not play punishment then 5♦ he is now asking about Dame Atu)
Answer ladder and example:
One-sided bidding:
1♣ – 1♥
2♦(A reverse, e.g.) – 2♠
3♥ – 4♣( cuebid)
4NT(Blackwood 102 on 5 + D atu – ?
– 5♣ – 1 the 4 values from 5 (further in this example we will ask about the lady of hearts 5♦ – the first bidding on the way)
– 5♦ – 0 the 3 values from 5 (then because hearts are our color to play for the Lady of Hearts, we ask 5 ♠)
– 5♥ – exactly 2 values from 5 without the queen of trumps (so a further 5 ♠ asks for kings – 3 others and e.g.. 5♠ – ? 5NT – 0 z 3 kings , 6♣ – 1 z 3 side kings etc.)5♠ – exactly 2 values from 5 with the queen of trumps without the side kings of the side kings (3 the remaining ones, because the trump card, are included in the aces)
– 5NT – exactly 2 values from 5 with the lady trump + 1 z 3 side kings
– 6♣ – exactly 2 value and z 5 with the lady trump + 2 z 3 side kings
– 6♦ – exactly 2 values from 5 with the lady trump + all side kings
Now for more information – first we ask for aces – when we hear 5 ♣ or 5♦ that is either 1-4 the 0-3 the next question is the lady of the trump question. When we have it, we show it together with the side kings. Example:
4NT – 5♣
5♦ ( o dame) – ?
5♥ – no queen of trumps (then the next bid asks for side kings - but it cannot be the agreed color, then we jump over it by one)
5♠ – right atu , no side kings
5NT – right atu, 1 z 3 side kings
And so on ... one by one ...
