Equipment oil!

Equipment oil!

For your goddamn running watch? For the hell you have a heart rate monitor? When was the last time you ran with six pairs of pants and two T-shirts at once? What's the difference between the shoes for you 70 PLN from shoes for 700 PLN? You are able to significantly improve your results using the cool Salomon S-Labs or Adidas AdiZero Adios Something-there (the two most expensive pairs of shoes from Sklepbiegacza.pl)? No offense, but I am convinced, that there are several dozen in Poland, maybe one hundred and several dozen people, that are able to really use the potential of these shoes. And all the rest? All the rest, most likely, or he has these shoes because they were nice, convenient, or someone from the elite is running in them. Or a belief, that the shoes for that kind of money must do the job for the runner.

Half the trouble, runners with experience buy such fancy equipment, who train all the time.

All the poverty, if heavily depleted equipment is bought by novice runners, starting from the assumption, that since live running in such a device, it must mean something. That is, more or less, that's it, that they are at that level, that shoes, a light backpack or something else actually helps them significantly, which does not change the fact, that the running elite is able to run the average competitor easily in the cheapest shoes from a discount store. But in light conditions, starting shoes, a novice runner may simply hurt himself, damage the joints in the knees or feet, which is primarily a matter of experience and technology.

I do not say, that shoes for the elite in general, and the rest barefoot, What is it, it is not.

I want to say, that it is worth considering minimalism in terms of equipment. Instead of buying a sixth pair of shoes or a fourth pair of pants, maybe it's better to go to the competition? Or invest in a few sessions with a trainer? Reach out (commercial) e-trainer advice? Go to the pool or the gym?

Before you buy another pair of fancy shoes or shorts, simply, humanly, Consider, are you able to realize the potential, who is dormant in them. Yes to mine, untrained, eye reasonable limit is the time below 40 ten minutes (above 3000m in the Cooper test). If you have the money and you enjoy having it, it's nobody and nothing will stop you, sometimes it just pays to think twice.

I myself started to think about these issues recently and ... Generally, I come to conclusions, it's not worth it. Time is a better investment. And these are the conclusions, which I was reaching about two years of running "career", so consider this article as two years of savings.

Run for now. Train. Equipment oil. The time will come for the equipment, the equipment in the stores will only be a little better.

But sometimes it's worth checking out for promotions.
